Gwinnett group responds to Bhutto's assassination

Members of the Pakistani American Community of Atlanta (PAK Atlanta) were grief stricken when they heard the news that Pakistan opposition leader Benazir Bhutto, 54, was assassinated Thursday shortly after speaking at a rally held for upcoming parliamentary elections in Rawalpindi, about eight miles outside of Islamabad.

Journalist gives local view on the assassination of Benazir Bhutto

It's very sad. Bhutto was a brave lady. She dared to come back to Pakistan even though she knew that there is a life threat on her. The problem is [Pakistan President Pervez] Musharraf.If we look at the dynamics of Pakistan closely, we see that the President is against the democracy. Political party leaders are against Musharraf. There is another fraction of extremists who are against Musharraf. So it's like a jungle war, everyone is against everyone, trying to harm or even kill the other party.

New England Patriots' quest for perfection to be a national simulcast

The New England Patriots will take their quest for the second undefeated regular season in history to the Meadowlands of New Jersey when they face off with the New York Giants Saturday night.
Until just yesterday, that game was only to be broadcast on NFL Network, a cable channel not available on most mainstream cable plans nationwide. In fact, only about 35 million households in the country get this channel.
But yesterday the NFL made perhaps a surprising decision in allowing this game to be simulcast on not one, but three networks: NFL, NBC and CBS.
