MTV: Your source for guilty pleasure shows

I really hate MTV. I hate them first and foremost for the way they ruined modern music. TRL is a bane on society and helped lead to the dreadful late 90s-mid 00s swing where the Backstreet Boys, Britney and now Fallout Boy dominate the ears of America's youth. When MTV actually does play a video these days its usually one of those saccharine artists who wouldn't know how to write a song if their life depended on it.

This weekend's Golden Globes look completely unfamiliar to me. Looking at the winners, I realized I hadn't seen any of the movies except one, "Into the Wild." This made me wonder if anyone else had seen more of the winners.
